In this month of love and hearts and all thinks pink and sparkly, as a part of our quest for Internet Domination, we want to know: What is Love? What do you Love? Have you felt Love?

Join us as we celebrate Love.

Dear Daughter,

You will grow up seeing love all over the place. Television shows, romantic movies, and books will have you convinced that love is this wonderful beautiful thing (and it is) that you just fall into one day, and then you live happily ever after with Prince (or Princess) Charming.

Baby girl, I hate the idea that some day that bubble will burst all over you. I hate that someday you might wake up and realize that this love stuff? It's HARD.

Love is dirty and emotional, just like every other aspect of human life. Sometimes happily ever after doesn't really last for the rest of your life.  Sometimes love is a strong thing, a net that you can count on catching you when you fall. But sometimes it's more like a frayed rope that breaks just when you need it most.

Even the best love is work. If you neglect love, it tends to wither up and die. Much like houseplants, love needs to be watered and fed and cared for tenderly. Or it will wind up like mommy's houseplants: crusty, brown, and dead.

I hope with all my heart that you find that amazing kind of love. But when the going gets tough or when your heart gets broken, please know that Daddy and I love you and we will be here to catch you.

Lots of love,
Mommy
