How To Contribute To Band Back Together
I’m going to operate under the assumption that you’ve never used this blog, but you’ve already generated your own login and password and are now sitting on the home screen trying to figure out what to do next.
If you would like your story to be published anonymously you can use this form.
Here’s what your screen should look like after you login:
If you click right there where the arrow is pointing “click here” you’ll get a drop down that looks like this:
This will take you to this screen where you will write your story!:
Here you will insert your title, write and edit your story!! If you’ve ever used microsoft word, or really any other blogging/editing platform, this should feel very familiar to you. You have a menu for BOLD, Italics, bulletpoint and numbered lists, insert a block quote, change your word alignment to left, center, or right, insert links to other sites or other pages/stories within our community, insert a “Read More” tag, and you can toggle for even more editing tools!
Once you’re all done writing and editing your story you will choose a category for your story to fit into. This is how people will find your story so you can choose as many or as few categories as you think apply to your story! This is not a step you necessarily need to do, we will choose categories for your story during editing, as well. Here is what that looks like:
Once you’re satisfied with your categories it’s time to preview and submit!
Your blog post saves automatically about every minute, but you can also hit the “Save Draft” button if you need to close your screen before the next auto-save. You can also hit the “Preview” button, this will show you your post formatted in the blog template. You can make sure you like how your story looks on the actual blog page.
When you’re satisfied with the look you’ll need to hit the “Submit For Review” button. If you don’t submit your story we will assume you are still working on it and it will stay in your editing screen indefinitely:
You can keep writing and editing as long as you need to. Once your post has been submitted we will edit it for grammar, clarity, length, flow, content and to insert links to resource pages here on the blog.
