My parents divorced when I was very young; when I was about three. My mom never really discussed the reasons why they divorced - even now, I don't know much about it.
Their divorce was especially hard because when I was eight, my parents thought that they could make their marriage work again. We'd planned to move to a different state - we even had everything packed and the house cleaned out. Things returned to normal. I don't know much about this either; I have my mom to thank for not knowing.
To all the parents and kids out there who are dealing with divorce, I know that it seems hard right now, but you can get through it. Your parents both love you; they aren't going explain the divorce not because they don't care but because they don't want you to worry about adult matters.
I promise that you will be okay.2 Comments
